Singing lessons

Because every voice is wonderfully unique, there’s no such thing as a “typical” singing lesson - each one is completely tailored to your individual needs.

You may be a performing professional preparing for an audition or performance and want to fine-tune your technique, choose the right repertoire or maintain your vocal fitness. Perhaps you’re returning to singing after a break, or wanting to build the confidence to join a choir or take the mic at karaoke, or you may want to explore your voice just for the joy of it. Whether you're after a one-off session, a short-term focus on a specific challenge, or ongoing lessons to support your vocal growth, there are flexible options available to suit you.

I currently offer private lessons on Wednesdays, both in-person and online.

If this sounds like what you're looking for, I’d love to hear from you - feel free to get in touch with any questions or to book a session.

I don’t currently work with children or younger singers, but I’m happy to recommend trusted colleagues who specialise in working with teenaged and young voices, just let me know if you'd like a referral.

“Laura has taken me from having no confidence in my singing ability to being able to sing live in less than 6 months. The way she really listens and understands what I would like to get out of singing and the constraints I need to do it in (live in a band whilst playing guitar) is brilliant. She provides real world tips to help overcome problems I encounter during a performance.

Laura is really easy to get on with and the lessons always strike a great balance between being professional and great fun. She is really supportive and I leave every lesson feeling like I have progressed and full of enthusiasm. Thank you for helping me achieve something that I really didn’t think I could.”

Estill Voice Training

Estill Voice Training (EVT) is a globally respected system for understanding and training the voice — used by singers, actors, teachers, choir leaders, directors, musical directors, and voice professionals across all styles and genres. It’s widely taught in top UK drama schools, including the Royal Academy of Music, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and Mountview.

I run fun, practical Introduction to Estill workshops, offering an accessible way to explore the foundations of EVT either in-person here in Kent, or online. These sessions are ideal for anyone curious about how the voice works, wanting to build vocal versatility, confidence, and control in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. Participants receive an accredited CPD Certificate of Attendance from Estill Voice International.

If you’re interested in exploring Estill further, in addition to running workshops I offer one-to-one coaching.

What previous participants had to say…

“The Introduction to Estill with Laura was a great day! Not only did Laura have a wealth of knowledge, she was able to make all of us feel included and completely at ease. I was lucky enough to sing for Laura and have her help me put some of the methods into place which was a fantastic opportunity to apply and experience what we had learned on the day - I encourage everyone to do it! If you’re considering exploring Estill, this course was great and I can’t recommend Laura enough!”
Emma Ward, singer

"I just wanted to say a big thank you for a great day yesterday! I really learned so much from you and I totally loved your session - you were informative, fun and completely engaging."
Lucy G, award-winning music teacher and musical director

“Laura’s Introduction to Estill workshop was informative, interesting and fun.  Laura’s very knowledgeable and has a welcoming and calm demeanour, she answered everyone’s questions and explained everything clearly. The workshop is a great standalone introduction to Estill, whilst also being a sound foundation for further training. I highly recommend it.”
