Estill Voice Training - Introductory Workshop

Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

On Saturday 10th June, I ran an Introductory Workshop in Estill Voice Training in the heart of the city of Canterbury, in the beautiful Cathedral Precinct.

A group of singers, teachers and artists came from far and wide to spend the day generously sharing their voices, their enthusiasm, their questions and their energy, as we learned all about the Estill model, and how it can be a transformative way of looking at the voice.

Here’s just some of what they had to say:

‌“The Introduction to Estill with Laura was a great day! Not only did Laura have a wealth of knowledge, she was able to make all of us feel included and completely at ease. I was lucky enough to sing for Laura and have her help me put some of the methods into place which was a fantastic opportunity to apply and experience what we had learned on the day - I encourage everyone to do it! If you’re considering exploring Estill, this course was great and I can’t recommend Laura enough!” Emma

“…you were so informative but also engaging and I enjoyed every minute. …I think more people should learn about Estill, the knowledge is empowering… Thank you again, I feel a lot more confident in my voice and knowledgeable now, I think it will make the biggest difference to my teaching and personal singing.” Hannah

“I recently attended the Introduction to Estill course, run by the lovely Laura. I went in knowing very little about the Estill way of working, but came out absolutely buzzing with ideas and inspiration! The course was an excellent mix of theory and practical, in an atmosphere where you feel completely secure in trying out what you've learnt. Laura is so supportive and understanding (no question is a silly question); and made us all feel valued. Estill has given me techniques that I can use straight away; in fact I had a gig directly after the workshop in which I was able to apply lots of the techniques I learned with good success! I will definitely be looking to continue my learning in this area and will not hesitate to sign up to Laura's courses in the future.” Stacy

I’ll be running more of these one-day, in-person workshops so if you’d like to be kept up to date and request one in your area, drop me an email, or fill in the contact form and I’ll let you know where and when you can book!

In the meantime, happy singing!
